Qualcomm announced it’s new chipset Snapdragon 855 on December 4. The new chipset was unveiled at the Snapdragon Summit in Hawaii.
This chipset will be available in most of the Android Flagship smartphone in 2019. So far, we know that this chipset will be available in Mi Mix 3, One Plus 7 and in Samsung Galaxy S10.
In light of another 7-nanometer engineering, the Qualcomm has influenced an imperative bounce to up on the Snapdragon to coordinate chips from other tech mammoths, for example, Apple and Huawei, who debuted their own 7nm chipset this year in their new smartphones IphoneXS and Huawei Mate 20.
Snapdragon 855 chipset is comprised of the new Kryo 485 CPU and Adreno 640 GPU, alongside the Hexagon 690 processor for handling AI and machine learning duties, and the Spectra 380 ISP (image signal processor) which is responsible for much of the chip’s photo and video capturing abilities.

However, for the developers who want to include 5G support in their devices have an option of adding Qualcomm’s X50 5G cellular modem, Which gives a speed of around 6GBPS.
Snapdragon 855 will also have Bluetooth 5.0 connections and WiFi 6.
MORE BATTERY LIFE
Qualcomm claimed that they improved 45% of general performance as compared to Snapdragon 845. Graphics performance has been improved by 20%.
Qualcomm is also claiming that Snapdragon 855 drain 30% less battery while playing 4K/60fps video as compared to the last generation.
If what Qualcomm is claiming is true then are phone can last for long hours.
Now a days, camera has become the main feature in smartphones. So, in the Snapdragon 855, Qualcomm took spectra 380 ISP and added computer vision function that helps the chip to capture more depth info.
