There are lots of smartphones in the market and every smartphone has a different processor which create lots of confusion in buyers mind while buying the smartphone. Newly launched Realme smartphones like Realme U1 and realme 3 has MediaTek processor while Xiaomi packed Qualcomm Snapdragon processor in Redmi Note 7.
Both chipsets are used by the companies in their budget or mid-range smartphones. Helio P70 is an upgraded version of Helio P60 and was Launched in the last quarter 2018 while Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 was launched on the 2nd quarter of 2017. Both work very well and both are almost similar. MediaTek Helio P70 obviously has some better features as it was launched just 5-6 months ago while Snapdragon was launched more than a year ago. So, let’s compare them and check which one is the best.

MEDIATEK HELIO P70: WHAT’S NEW?
Helio P70 is the latest chipset and has lots of new features to offer. The company claims that Advance AI with upgraded CPU and graphics performance. It’s an Octa-Core processor chipset developed using on 12nm FinFET technology. The main addition is the multi-core APU which gives you better AI performance.
MEDIATEK HELIO P70 VS QUALCOMM SNAPDRAGON 660
Performance is one of the most important factors, both Helio P70 and Snapdragon 660 are good. Snapdragon 660 is built in 14nmFinFET technology whereas Helio P70 is built in 12nm FinFET technology which is 13% more efficient than 14nm technology. P70 Clocked 2.1GHz while 660 underclocked 1.95GHz. So, in terms of performance and efficiency, MediaTek Helio P70 is better than Snapdragon 660.
Helio P70 is paired with Mali G72 MP3 clocked at 900GHz which is based on 16nm technology whereas Snapdragon 660 paired with Adreno 512 clocked at 850GHz which is based on 14nm technology. Both GPU good but 660 perform better. So, in GPU performance Snapdragon takes a lead.
Helio P70 supports dual camera of a 20MP+16MP and single camera of a 32MP with 3xISP(16M@90fps capture 16M@90fps preview HW Depth engine). Snapdragon 660 supports dual camera of a 16MP+16MP and single camera of a 24MP with 2xISP (16M@90fps). So, in camera performance, MediaTek Helio P70 beats Snapdragon 660.
Camera quality also depends upon the smartphone as well.
In connectivity option, both of the chipsets are the same. Both support Dual 4G Volte. If we compare the modem of P70 with the modem of 660, 660 performs well. P70 support LPDDR4x storage while 660 support LPDDR4 storage.
ANTUTU 7 BENCHMARK
On Antutu 7 test, Realme U1 which is equipped with MediaTek helio P70 performs better than Realme 2 Pro which is equipped with Snapdragon 660.
GEEKBENCH 4.1 SINGLECORE
In Geekbench 4.1 single core Realme U1 stood tall with a score of 1556 while Realme 2 pro score 1435. So, Helio P70 is performing better than Snapdragon 660.
GEEKBENCH 4.1 MULTICORE
On Geekbench multi-core, realme U1 strikes again and scores 6602 followed by Realme 2 pro scores 5521.
On the GFX T-Rex graphics benchmark test Realme 2 Pro takes a lead and score 39 while Realme U1 scores 35. So, Snapdragon 660 works better than MediaTek Helio P70 in terms of graphics.
Above benchmark scores shows that both MediaTek Helio P70 and Snapdragon 660 gives each other tough competition. In terms of efficiency and performance, Helio p70 beats Snapdragon 660 but in graphical performance, Snapdragon 660 takes the lead and on camera, P70 performs well.
Snapdragon 660 is the best processor used in the mid-range smartphone but it was launched in mid of 2017 while Helio P70 was launched in October 2018. Helio P70 is the latest chipset so, obviously, it has some great feature as compared to Snapdragon 660.
So, in my opinion, MediaTek Helio P70 is better than Qualcomm snapdragon 660
